The Canadian folding bike's Belgian distributor is supplying the UK - at least one customer already has a bike - plus other media appearances

Thanks to Mike Lenton, who noticed the bit in VV18 where we mentioned the GoBike not being very available in the UK. He has a friend who has ordered and received one from the distributor in Belgium, Seppe De Roeck of InGear.
Seppe writes: "Of course, I would be happy to supply the first interested consumers with the Gobike. Even retailers if they are interested."
SRAM 4 Pro dlx: 1249 Euros (approx £860, 8-speed derailleur)
SRAM X9: 1449 Euros (approx £1000, 9-speed derailleur)
These prices include 21% VAT and shipping cost."
Full details are:

We also recently received a press release from GoBike in Canada (STILL nothing much on their website though): it was in French, but briefly:
- See various media reports on the bike at this file-sharing page with PDFs to download. As well as some magazine reviews, it seems the bike has been included in some stylish shopping catalogues.
- They now have a distributor in Japan with lots of pretty pics on the website. Among them were some new accessories - mudguards, flexible and solid-shell carry cases and more.
Sorry LeGroup Go - I bought a Dahon instead. And it's already off the road with a broken component.
Just updated story with prices.
